Experience these award-winning Landal parks that will have you dreaming of your next escape

A new year means new holiday plans! Nothing planned yet? Landal offers plenty of inspiration with over 30,000 diverse accommodations across more than 300 unique holiday destinations in 13 countries. We’re already dreaming of a getaway to these popular and award-winning Landal destinations.

The Ultimate in Luxury

Hof van Saksen in Nooitgedacht, Drenthe, the name alone sparks dreams of an adventurous holiday. It’s no surprise that this luxury resort, recently awarded 'Most Innovative Holiday Park in BeNeLux 2025,' has everything needed to exceed expectations.

Sleep soundly in the beautifully renovated farmhouse accommodations, designed by renowned Dutch designer Piet Boon. Whether you love water adventures or outdoor activities, there's something for everyone. The swimming paradise features five spectacular indoor waterslides, a designer pool with a musical paddling area, a whitewater run, a recreational lake with a beach, and a full wellness and spa experience. Prefer to stay on dry land? Explore the resort’s art trail by bike or on foot, visit animals at Wildlands, or step back in time at the region’s prehistoric dolmens.

Back to Nature

A great discovery is the Landal Heideheuvel park, which was recently awarded with a Silver Zoover Award, is located in the unspoilt nature of Gelderland. This destination is a perfect base for adventurers, big and small. Surrounded by cycling and hiking trails, you can spot a wild boar or red deer in the early morning hours. Be sure to stop at the Vrijenbergspreng, the largest waterfall in the Netherlands. Little ones can have fun in the adventure courtyard, the barefoot path or on a trip to the Apenheul where they can feed monkeys and meet the gorillas.

Dog-Friendly Breaks

Want to take your dog on holiday with you? At Landal Twenhaarsveld in the Netherlands, they treat your beloved four-legged friend as a full-fledged family member. Along with special dog bungalows, the park offers hiking trails, an off-leash area for dogs to roam freely, a dog swimming pond, a 'doggy wash,' and even a specially adapted dog menu in the restaurant. This dedication was recognised with the Park Holidays Award for ‘ Best Holiday dog-Friendly Park’.

Nature and Wine

When we think of holidays, summer and sunshine often come to mind, but many Landal destinations offer idyllic scenes in the off-season or even winter. Take Landal de Waufsberg in Limburg, for example, which has won a golden Zoover Award for the eighth year in a row. Nestled in the Limburg hills, you'll find peace, nature, and exquisite wines. In autumn, experience the nearby grape harvest, and enjoy delicious Limburg wines all year round.

Coastal Getaways

Landal's great love for the Dutch coast is evident in the many parks here. One of them was voted ‘Best Holiday Park on the Coast’ by the participants at the Park Holiday Awards - the Oscars of holiday parks. Landal Strand Resort Ouddorp Duin is well hidden in the dunes. With the beach and the sea as your backyard, you can get fresh sea air in your lungs and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets every day.

Mountain Retreat

The holiday apartments at Landal Mont Royal in Germany boast spectacular views over the Moselle Valley and have rightfully earned the title of Germany's most popular holiday park, according to Park Holiday Awards. Here, you'll live in harmony with nature, with a strong focus on sustainability. For example, much of the material from the old, demolished houses were repurposed to form the foundations of the new energy-neutral holiday homes.

Family-Friendly Activities

Going on holiday with children - let's face it -  can be stressful. But not if you choose the right destination. At Landal Het Land van Bartje in Drenthe, it's party time every day. With an extensive children's programme, from a pony ranch, BMX track to craft classes and toddler dancing, little ones will not get bored. Het Land van Bartje may have won the coveted Kids Holiday Guide Awards 2025, but relaxation for parents is certainly thought of as well. After a bike ride or hike in one of the three National Parks, you can dive straight into the private sauna.

Between Nature and Culture

Landal Rabbit Hill, located in the Dutch province of Gelderland, is the perfect base for those who love to stay active. Culture lovers can explore the nearby Kröller-Müller Museum, the 17th-century Loo Palace, and the Dutch Open Air Museum. Whilst, sports lovers can stretch their legs hiking or cycling through Kootwijk forest on the Veluwe, where a watchtower offers stunning views. For a bit of adventure, climb into the treetops at one of the local climbing courses. After a day of exploring, relax in the cosy Landal cottages and park, where rabbits and squirrels are frequent visitors. This year, Landal Rabbit Hill also received a Silver Zoover Award.

Landal Hunerwold State, recently awarded a Golden Zoover Award, sits right next to the Drents-Friese Wold National Park, a vast 6,000-hectare expanse of forest, sand dunes, and stream valley grasslands. The holiday park offers plenty of activities for all ages, from a swimming pond with a beach to an indoor pool, golf, and miniature golf etc. The detached cottages instantly make you feel at home. For those eager to explore, the area is full of unexpected and unique attractions. Visit Zoo Bizar, the smallest zoo in the Netherlands, or the National Prison Museum. Take a boat trip through National Park Weerribben-Wieden and navigate its maze of marsh forests. And in the summer, don’t miss the Shakespeare open-air theatre in Diever – is a must see!
