Opening Landal Arber

The first construction phase of the Landal Arber holiday park in Zwiesel in the Bavarian Forest has been completed and the park has now been officially opened. ELK TECH, a leading provider of serial and sustainable construction and living solutions, is building the sustainable holiday chalets for Arber Investment GmbH. A total of 45 holiday homes have been handed over to the buyers.

The next construction phase with over 50 houses will start shortly. A total of 196 high-quality holiday homes in modern timber construction are being built on an area of twelve hectares. Sustainability plays a central role: energy is supplied by a centralised combined heat and power plant, pellet heating and photovoltaic systems. A restaurant, a check-in area, a village shop and hire stations for bikes and ski equipment will complete the offer in the central area of the resort.  With more than 220,000 overnight stays planned per year, the project is expected to significantly boost tourism in the region around Zwiesel.

Coveted tourist destination

The Landal Arber holiday park is located in the heart of Germany's oldest nature reserve - the Bavarian Forest. The 24,000-hectare attracts around 1.3 million visitors every year. "80 per cent of investors buy one or even several chalets once they have viewed the construction project. The park boasts a favourable location in Bavaria in a national park. Landal, the most successful and largest holiday park operator in Europe, is operating and renting out the properties and ELK TECH, as one of the market-leading timber construction companies in Europe, is building houses of the highest quality," explains Frank Kraus, Managing Director of Arber Investment.

Strong demand for holiday parks

A modern and future-proof park is being created here that combines sustainability and high construction quality.  ‘Holiday parks are one of the areas of the property market that continue to perform very well. As the high level of pre-sales shows, demand from both investors and private individuals for such high-yield investment opportunities is very high,’ explains Stefan Anderl, Managing Director of ELK TECH. ‘Thanks to our serial prefabrication, we can greatly reduce the construction time. ’‘Investors can currently invest in existing homes and thus realise an immediate return or choose their dream home in the new construction phase,’ says Carsten Neubert, exclusive estate agent for the project.

Landal takes over operation of the holiday park

The holiday park is operated by Landal, a leading European provider in the management and rental of holiday accommodation. The company is renowned for providing holidays close to nature and is represented at more than 300 locations in 13 countries. Mikael Andersson, CEO of Landal, is delighted about the new opening: "With Landal Arber, we are expanding our portfolio to include the Bavarian Forest. The chalets blend harmoniously into the natural surroundings and offer ideal conditions for a relaxing holiday. We are delighted to be able to offer these new destinations to our guests."

Short-term returns and flexibility

"With our streamlined prefabrication process, investors can count on a dramatic reduction in the construction time of their property. At present, investors have the option to invest in existing homes for immediate returns, or select their ideal property in the new construction phase," says Carsten Neubert.
