Roompot opens new park in Gulpen next year
- New park with a unique location in the hills of South Limburg in the Netherlands
- 185 sustainable cottages with panoramic views of the hilly South Limburg countryside
- A few kilometres from the border with Germany and Belgium
The Netherlands, Wednesday 9 December 2020 – Roompot plans to open a new holiday park next year at an amazing location in the hills of South Limburg. Just a stone's throw away from the well-known tri-border point in Vaals, 185 sustainable cottages will integrate perfectly into the hills of the South Limburg Heuvelland and will offer future guests a unique panoramic view. The largest provider of holiday parks and resorts in the Netherlands expects to welcome its first guests in July 2021.
Just a stone's throw away from cosy Maastricht and the well-known three-country point in Vaals, Roompot expects to welcome its first guests to the new Roompot Gulpen holiday park next summer. Thanks to its unique location, it will be able to welcome a great mix of Dutch, German and Belgian guests.
185 sustainable cottages
In total, the park will have 185 sustainable themed cottages, suitable for 4 to 10 people, where every type of guest will quickly feel at home. The unique location and the Zuid-Limburgse Heuvelland encouraged the architects to play with the landscape and bring the houses perfectly into harmony with the surroundings. This was a real success.
In the hill
The 'Landscape' type houses are located, as it were, in the hill. The front consists of large windows combined with a beautiful, sturdy stone. Both the 4- and 6-person versions are on the ground floor and offer access from the cosy living room with luxurious open kitchen to the fine terrace with pergola. Depending on the number of guests, it has two or three bedrooms, at least one with en-suite bathroom and possibly a second bathroom.
Square
Large families or a composition of several families will undoubtedly find the 'Square' type 6- and 8-person houses very special. The dark wood and square shape are characteristic of this modern accommodation type, which is surrounded by greenery. The large skylights are striking. The Square is on the ground floor and has a luxurious open kitchen, cosy dining area and comfortable sitting area with access to a great terrace. There are three or four bedrooms and one or two bathrooms.
With height differences
The combination of light and dark wood is characteristic of modern accommodation of the 'Hill' and 'Valley' types. Both types can be found in a landscape with height differences and the large windows make this accommodation eye-catching.
The Hill has two floors and offers enough space for 6 adults. On the ground floor guests will find a luxury kitchen with dining area and a comfortable sitting area. There is access to a lovely terrace and there is a separate toilet. Upstairs they will find the three bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite bathroom. There is also a second bathroom for the other guests.
The Valley is designed for 4 guests and is on the ground floor. The luxurious open kitchen, cosy dining area and comfortable sitting area are also provided here, as well as a covered terrace. The accommodation has two bedrooms and a bathroom.
Four Valley type accommodations are suitable for the disabled, have an adapted bathroom and are located in front of the park near the town centre building.
Even 3 floors
The accommodation of the 'Forest' type has a playful and modern appearance and can be found among the greenery with their dark wooden appearance. The many windows provide beautiful views. This 6-person accommodation has three floors. On the ground floor, the luxurious open-plan kitchen separates the dining and sitting areas. There is access to a lovely terrace and a separate toilet. On the first floor the first guests will find a spacious bedroom with bathroom. The roof terrace will certainly come as a pleasant surprise. The second and third bedrooms are on the second floor.
The 18 'Tower' accommodations also have three floors. This special 4-person accommodation has an eye-catching layout and with its light wooden appearance can be found among the greenery. The view from the top floor is phenomenal! On the ground floor guests will find a luxurious open kitchen, cosy dining area and comfortable sitting area. There is access to a lovely terrace. The first and second floor each have a spacious bedroom with a bathroom.
Round
The nine 'Round' type accommodations are truly unique! As the name doesn't hide anything, this ground floor accommodation is practically arranged and suitable for no less than 10 people. The luxury kitchen with cooking island forms the heart of the house. The long dining table stands at a large window. Of course, there is also a comfortable sitting area and access to a lovely terrace. The house has five bedrooms, three bathrooms.
At one with nature
As the description of the houses suggests, at Roompot Gulpen nature plays a major role and guests enjoy the little things with their loved ones; looking at the stars together, discovering nature with a telescope, or simply becoming one with the landscape.
Beautiful centre building
The beautifully designed centre building will house a reception, park shop, recreational area and brasserie. The latter will serve guests delicious local products and dishes, but will also provide fun cooking workshops to the youngest guests. Renting bicycles is of course also one of the possibilities. After all, who wouldn't want to discover the beautiful surroundings?
In the nearby village of Gulpen the youngest guests - and also their parents - will love the subtropical swimming paradise with indoor and outdoor pool.
You can book a stay at the park from today on the Roompot website.
16 parks already announced this year
The announcement of the arrival of Roompot Gulpen is the 17th of this year for Roompot. Earlier this year it was announced that the 74 beach villas at the Hook of Holland, the 90 beach cottages in Julianadorp and Dune resort Dunimar switched from Landal to Roompot. Roompot is also opening a new park in Wijdenes and in Someren. In Eksel in Belgium, a new nature park will welcome its first guests next year and Roompot is in the process of preparing to open a new park in Oudenaarde. Nearly a month ago, Roompot announced it was taking over the 4 existing and 5 planned Qurios parks.
At the end of last year, Roompot also announced that it would build the 200 new holiday homes in Nieuwvliet-Bad and Breskens by upgrading existing campsites, that it will open a beautiful new park at a prime location on the Veerse Meer next year and that a new luxury resort in Haamstede will be included in its offer in 2022.
Roompot is not ruling out announcing new plans this year.
