New holiday park in Someren strengthens Roompot's offer in the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant from 2021

Roompot continues to build for its future

  • 100 stylish holiday cottages with thatched roof
  • Carefully integrated into the beautiful nature of the Heihorsten
  • From 2021 in Roompot’s portfolio

Goes, Tuesday the 21st of April 2020 - Despite the current corona crisis that paralyses many activities, Roompot continues to build for its future. The largest provider of holiday homes in the Netherlands and one of Europe’s leading providers will expand its offer in 2021 in Noord- Brabant with 100 new holiday homes. The new holiday park with beautiful and high-quality cottages in Someren is under construction.

Beautiful nature

Located between the center of Someren and the vast nature reserve of the Strabrechtse Heide in the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant, the Heidehorsten form with endless moors, countless fens and vast forests the natural habitat for grazers, but also for swamp fowl and water birds. A popular location to stay!

Versatile enjoyment

On foot, by bicycle, mountain bike or on horseback. As of next year, guests will be able to walk straight into the nature, when they will stay at Roompot’s new park. Directly outside the holiday park, guests will have the possibility to rent a bicycle or mountain bike and will find the fully equipped equestrian center Het Keelven to discover the area by horse. Golf enthusiasts will also enjoy themselves. The 27-hole De Swinkelsche course is just located next door, with an attractive clubhouse, driving range and golf school.

100 stylish holiday farmhouses

The future Roompot holiday park that will open its doors next year will have 100 stylish holiday farms. The five different types of farms will certainly appeal to the guests of one of Europe’s leading and the Netherlands’ largest provider of holiday homes. The houses will have thatched roofs, horizontally arranged cladding of sustainable wood and traditional masonry. Everything with a nod to the historical and typical architecture for that region.

When designing the park, the architects paid a lot of attention to a varied and high-quality range of holiday farms forming one beautiful whole. The five different types of farms, inspired by the Brabant farms and barns, accommodate parties of 4 to 12 people. All houses have a spacious and stylishly decorated living room, double garden doors to the terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, a flat screen TV in the living room and WiFi. They count 2 to 6 bedrooms and 1 to 4 bathrooms with luxury sanitary facilities. About a third of the houses can even be rented with a private sauna and bubble bath.

The contractor has recently started the construction of the first three homes. The 97 other holiday farms will be completed in 2021. In that year, the park also joins Roompot's offer and becomes Roompot's 10th park in the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant.

Sustainable

After completion all will recognise that the developer has paid a lot of attention to the quality and sustainability of the park. This means, among other things, that sustainable hardwood and HR ++ glazing are used. All exterior walls are foreseen with high-quality facade insulation and airtight finish. The houses will also be built gas-free and will be equipped with a heat pump.

All facilities in-house

The reception will be housed in a spacious center building with a thatched roof that can also be admired from the inside. It immediately will give that imposing but attractive feeling that distinguishes the park from many other. Here guests will be warmly welcomed and will find a shop with bread service and a laundry room with washing machines and dryers.

Despite corona crisis

The corona crisis obviously has an impact on tourism in the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant, one of the regions the most hit by the virus in the Netherlands. Nevertheless, Roompot and the developer of the park are convinced of the future success of this holiday park. They concluded this agreement in full crisis.

At least 5 new parks in Dutch Roompot offer in 2021

Earlier this year, Roompot already announced a large expansion of its offer for 2021 in the Netherlands. Those plans go through. For example, Roompot will open a new park in Wijdenes, in the province of Noord-Holland in 2021. Furthermore, the most beautiful Beach Villas in the Netherlands and 90 beach houses in Julianadorp will move to Roompot on the 1st of January of 2021. In the same village, Roompot also extended its partnership with the owners of Resort Duynzicht earlier this month. But before that, Roompot will reopen the De Soeten Haert Holiday Park this summer season with a new center building.
