Roompot Lakeside Resort Brielle welcomes first visitors today
Brielle (South Holland, Netherlands), Friday 7 July 2023 — Roompot is opening the stunning Roompot Lakeside Resort Brielle today. The 160 modern, spacious and sustainable holiday properties make a comfortable base for anyone wanting to explore the beautiful surroundings. Located right on the Brielse Meer lake, this new holiday destination also has plenty to offer in the way of water sports.
The brand new, sustainable Roompot Lakeside Resort Brielle has gone up just outside the walled city of Brielle, where Roompot is welcoming its first visitors today. From their comfortable lodge they will be able to enjoy the delightful surroundings at any time of day. Not only by bike, but also from the water. The holiday park is in fact located right on the Brielse Meer lake.
There is also plenty of fun to be had on the beach while on holiday in Brielle. Rockanje's sprawling beaches are just about 20 minutes away. The nature reserve between Oostvoorne and Rockanje is a must for long walks. In the Voornes Dune, you can wander through the forest, over the dunes and around the dune lakes.
Self-contained, comfortable and sustainable lodges
Developers InLeisure have worked alongside the architects and Roompot to create a unique holiday destination that blends into the landscape and enhances the local area. The park was built on the site of an abandoned campsite.
Roompot Lakeside Resort Brielle has 160 self-contained, comfortable and sustainable lodges. All holiday properties are 100% electric, so there's no gas. Thanks to being so well-appointed and the use of natural, sustainable materials, the homes blend perfectly into the breathtaking surroundings of the Brielse Meer lake. The sustainable wood cladding also lends the lodges a unique character. The vast windows in each lodge are an additional delight.
These self-contained lodges sleep 4 to 8 people, depending on which model visitors choose. Eleven models ensure plenty of choice, among them several themed properties.
The four Sunset Pets, for instance, are fully set up for bringing a pet along. A basket, a bench and food and water bowls come as standard, ready for any four-legged friends.
For fans of mascot Koos, Roompot has designed four self-contained, child-friendly lodges suitable for up to 6 people. In the main room, there is a comfortable seating area, a large dining table, a kids' table with 2 chairs, and a Koos beanbag. The open-plan kitchen also has everything needed to prepare food. Special kids' tableware is even provided. Do the kids like helping out with the cooking? Great, the property even comes with a play-kitchen including utensils. The Koos-themed bedroom is also not to be missed. While the kids play outside in the enclosed garden, parents can make the most of their holiday from the lounge area out on the terrace.
Naturally, Roompot has also thought of families with teenagers. The four Teen lodges are true family properties with a lovely seating area and large dining table. Movie night? The large TV gives a perfect picture. Visitors will find patio furniture outside on the comfy terrace. Teenagers can chill out in the hammock. The enclosed garden even has a trampoline.
Naturally, there is free Wi-fi everywhere.
The modern main building is home to reception, a launderette, the snack bar, the bar, a restaurant, a beautiful terrace and a campsite shop. Bikes can be rented out for exploring the local area. Roompot has laid on a Kids Club, play equipment and a playground for the kids.
These extra services complete the picture and deliver a fantastic holiday experience for visitors.
The extremely comfortable lodges and their unique design make Roompot Lakeside Resort Brielle a particularly special holiday paradise in the area, appealing to a very broad customer base.
A sustainable park
Developers InLeisure have worked on the site with a huge focus on the planet, working on the principles of Green Key certification. Green Key is the international hallmark for sustainable (leisure) businesses. In fact, Roompot has an ambitious sustainability programme and wants to make unforgettable holidays a reality in Brielle too, with a positive impact on nature, the region, people and the climate.
Sustainable building materials were used in the construction of Roompot Lakeside Resort Brielle. Not only that, but the main building and all luxury lodges are 100% electric and fitted with solar panels. This means there is no gas: the main building and holiday properties are heated electrically, the boilers are electric and the cookers are all induction. Six years ago, Roompot were the first to open a park which uses no gas. It has pursued that policy consistently ever since.
It was deliberately decided that the resort would be car-free in order that visitors might make the most of the tranquillity and beautiful nature to be found at the Brielse Meer lake. Upon arrival and departure, guests can load and unload their car at the lodge, but the rest of the time it has to be left at one of the car parks scattered around the site, where there is plenty of space and charging stations for everyone.
