Alrik Boonstra to become Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Roompot
Goes (The Netherlands), Friday 9 December 2022 - Alrik Boonstra (52) joins Roompot's management board as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). For the past six years, he held similar roles at international cybersecurity leader Irdeto and fast-growing retail and hospitality brands Jumbo & La Place.
With the proposed takeover of Landal GreenParks, it is certain that Roompot will grow substantially by 2023. Once merged, the group will have some 300 resorts in 11 countries and 5,000 employees. Roompot also wants to continue to surprise its guests with good hospitality. This makes the human aspect even more important for Roompot.
In line with its strong growth and international ambitions, the holiday provider welcomes Alrik Boonstra (52) as Chief Human Resources Officer. From this new role, he will lead Roompot's HR department in this important evolution.
Alrik has managed to connect business and human growth and the development of talent and culture in similar roles at, among others, HR consultancy organisation Korn Ferry Hay Group, fast-growing retail and hospitality brands Jumbo & La Place and most recently at the international cybersecurity leader Irdeto. Prior to that, he held various commercial roles at PepsiCo and Unilever, among others.
Roompot HR director Mandy Karr - Van Belzen will continue to have an important HR role in Roompot's continued growth at Alrik's side. Over the past eight years, she has succeeded in establishing Roompot's HR department and made it into what it is today.
